Our winery, located only minutes from Geelong, is sitting directly on top of one of Victoria’s little known but incredibly unique geological formations – The Rowsley Fault – which has given perfect soil profiles for viticulture in the Moorabool Valley. The ‘Rowsley Fault’ is a geological fault formed about one million years ago that has layered our vineyards with gravels and clay over a bedrock of limestone. Limestone for a winemaker is pure gold as it holds water and valuable minerals in the soil.
